How I Use Social Media to Make $1,000 a Week

Are you a lover of Instagram? Pinterest? Tik Tok? Same here! What if I said you could make money from simply posting on those social media sites? Yep! And it’s a lot easier than you expect!

A few months ago I was scrolling through Tik Tok of all places, and I stumbled upon something called affiliate marketing. Between us, I though it was a scam. There’s no way people are making thousands of dollars a month from selling other people’s products. It seemed waaaaay to good to be true.

But after weeks of seeing multiple creators claim to make money online. I decided to give it a try. I paid $7 for a training course, and literally my life changed overnight. I grew from making $0 to $3,000 in the first month. And the best part - the only platforms I use to run my business are Tik Tok, Instagram, and Pinterest.

But how in the world is it that easy?

Because of affiliate marketing - it is that easy. I promote other companies products and in turn I get a commission when someone makes a purchase. So in a nutshell, I post about my favorite products on social media (Whether it’s a new dress or a new online course). When I share the things I love, usually some of my followers fall in love too. From there they click on the link to these products and purchase them. Once they make a purchase from my link, I get affiliate commissions from those products I promote. Which of course is the fun part!

Now there are a few tricks to being successful with affiliate marketing on social media

  1. Build an authentic following.

Going onto social media with the sole intention of making money off of people will not help you be successful. Instead think of being yourself. You have SO much to share, and your followers want to meet you before they will buy any products from you.

  2. Only post about products you absolutely love and would buy yourself.

If you wouldn’t buy the product, why in the world would your followers purchase it? By marketing crappy items - you are losing repeat customers and probably followers in the process. Make sure you are being an affiliate for good quality items - it will pay off in the long term!

  3. Be Consistent

Building a following on social media isn’t rocket science - but it does take time and consistency. Be willing to learn how the algorithms of each platform works and invest time into creating the best content you can. Once you have a following - the affiliate commissions will come rolling in!

  4. Build a Community

Creating content on social media can be a lonely place. Make sure you are surrounding yourself with people who support your dream. Whether these are your friends and family, Internet friends, or me! Make sure you are well supported so you can grow!

Keeping those four things in mind - I am positive you can be successful and make money off of the social media platforms you love to use!
