How I Became an Affiliate Marketer (And You Can Too!)
Before I had the pleasure of becoming an affiliate marketer, I worked full time as a photographer. Being able to make some feel beautiful with a camera was everything to me. But if you’ve ever been around us photographers, you know there is a lot of editing that happens behind the scenes. If I were to spend 12 hours shooting a wedding, I would have spent 40 hours the following week editing all of those pics. At the end of the day, I just wasn’t making enough money for the amount of time I spent.
Therefore, I started looking around for other job opportunities. I had been spoiled by being able to work from home, so a corporate job was definitely not in the cards for me. But then I ran across a Tik Tok Creator who talked about how she was making a full time income online. After watching literally all of her videos, yes it took quite a while! I decided the 15 day training program she was marketing was worth my time.
From there my world completely changed. I have never had so much helpful information all in one place. I learned all about those scary words like sales funnels, leads, affiliate programs, and conversions. I got to meet one on one with a business coach who answered so many questions for me. And most shockingly of all, I learned every skill I needed to begin.
Yep. You heard that right, the 15 day training program literally walks you through everything you need to begin building an online business. Oh and did I mention it only cost $7? Hehe - Sorry I’ll step off my soap box! I’m not trying to push you or anyone else towards spending money. Which is why I have so many free resources down at the bottom of the page! I do genuinely get excited when thinking about how much this training changed my life though, so thanks for bearing with me!
After the 15 day training program, I worked to launch my business. At first, I created a Tik Tok and Instagram account where I advertised for multiple different affiliate programs. it only took 8 days of work on social media for me to get my first commission. From there - I was never looking back.
These days a lot of my affiliate marketing is done though Pinterest and Instagram. I have multiple different accounts that I run, each based on a different niche. The best part of affiliate marketing is, once you have some traction with a social media page, it only takes 1 to 2 hours a day to maintain. Yes, you heard that correctly - I only work 1 to 2 hours a day. And I get to spend the rest of my time with my beautiful family. If that doesn’t make you excited, I don’t know what will.

The Legendary Marketer Facebook Group
After the 15 day challenge, you will get invited to a private FB group. On that FB group a different successful affiliate marketer is interviewed every day. I learned so much just from listening to them share while I got ready each morning.
I use Canva to create my Instagram posts and Pinterest Pins. The free version is amazing, but I have had the Pro Version since I was a photographer - so that’s what I use.
This website allows you to schedule pins to Pinterest so you don’t have to be posting them manually. So this is a huge time saver!
Consistency
Now this isn’t a website, but it’s the best resource I have. Being willing to show up every single day with the goal of improving your life and the life of your family is so important as you start your business! So if you can’t be consistent, this may not be for you.
These resources are all I use to grow and run my business. I still tune in every day to the Legendary FB Group and listen to other success stories to learn what I can. I still use Canva to create my Instagram and Pinterest posts; and, believe it or not, I still refer back to the 15 Day Challenge when I have questions. There is so much information, it just blows my mind.
And this is where I’m going to leave off. If you are tired of working too many hours a week, if you want to have financial freedom in your life, if you want the ability to work from anywhere - please don’t sleep on being an Affiliate Marketer. I know starting from scratch is terrifying, but I will be here cheering you on every step of the way!
